These verses are expressly written to us, in these last days
4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Malachi is the last of the prophets who wrote this book of the Holy Bible circa 445-432 BC. Chapter 4 is referring to the ‘Day of the Lord’, which points to the last days before Jesus returns to earth as a Lion (at the end of the 7 year tribulation aka The Time of Jacob’s Trouble) to save his people (remnant believers who go through the 7 year tribulation) and to judge the nations prior to His 1,000 year peaceful, restful, rule and reign on this earth. At some point before or during this time [no-one knows the day or hour], Jesus will come in the clouds to snatch away current believers in Christ up, out, and away from the wrath of God to come.
Once the ‘Age of Grace‘ ends [how we procure our salvation now during this age, is by grace through faith in Christ and His atoning blood and not by any works that we do], all unbelievers will have to go through the 7 year tribulation and those who do come to Christ during this period, will most likely be martyred for their faith.
If you are being witnessed to more often than usual, it’s because Christians truly do not want anyone to be ‘left behind‘ and would like everyone, to come to the saving grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It actually means you are incredibly loved and cherished — by God and by the brethren in your midst. Whatever you decide for yourself, do not mock and scoff the profound love towards you, and DO NOT take the Mark of the Beast (a mark on your right hand or forehead you will need to accept voluntarily to be able to buy and sell) during the 7 year tribulation, which will totally and forever eliminate any chance for salvation.
It is better to die of beheading or starvation than lose your eternal salvation — which is immortality; the original state of man and his relationship with His Creator before original sin separated us from a Holy, Merciful, and Just God.
The entire Bible is the narrative of God’s plan to redeem the creature He created in His image, and to restore us as rightful heirs to the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven as TRUE Sons and Daughters of YHWH — once again!
Update: Why do Christians believe? One major reason outside of direct supernatural experience with God or Jesus, is fulfilled prophesy. God knows the end from the beginning, and has provided this information to each of us through His Word, via written prophesy and its fulfillment. Fulfilled prophesy is the mark and authentication that God is real and the Word of God is true. In fact, the bible teaches explicitly (Deut 18:22) that if someone prophesies in the name of God or in the name of Jesus, and the prophesy does not come true, then that person did not hear from God and the prophesy was not from God.
If you are a believer in data, then the probability that a biblical prophetic event has come to pass by chance alone is greater than 1 in a 100,000’s in some cases, and 1 in 1,000,000,000 or more, in many others. According to some sources, over 2,500 distinct prophesies are contained in the bible, around 2,000 have come to pass, and about 500 are on deck, so to speak.
Here is what this source writes: “In his book, Science Speaks, Peter Stoner applies the modern science of probability to just eight prophecies regarding Christ. He says, “The chance that any man might have …fulfilled all eight prophecies is one in 10 to the 17th. That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000.” (one hundred quadrillion). There are even more sources here and here on this topic.
This is some pretty strong evidence! Up to one third of the bible is prophesy!!
THE HOLY BIBLE…
The inspired and inerrant WORD of God. It tells the love story of our merciful, yet perfectly just Father who NEVER EVER gave up on his sinful and willfully disobedient children and who sacrificed HIS Only Begotten Son so YOU and I may have eternal life and live with our Abba forever more..
He’s waiting for you to come home.
